Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day.
My 4 years old son has to bring 16 Valentine's cards to school
and give each of the students.

In America, Valentine's Day is for the people whom you love, so it is
both way - from man to woman, from woman to man, and the gift
idea is not limited to chocolate.

But in Japan, Valentine's Day is mostly for women who want to confess
her love to the one they care. Of course you can confess her feeling
anytime, but Valentine's Day is special. And usually the gift is chololate.

Also, if you are working, you give chocolates to your boss, your workmates,
the people you related to everyday.

For young people (especially teenager), Valentine's Day is very big, so that
the girls can confess their love to the boys. But I don't know recent kids
do that often. When I was a teenager, I had more "pure" feeling toward
the boy I like, but recent kids soon go to bed with the boys, so I wonder
they have such "pure" platonic love.

Anyway, today is Valentine's Day. Enjoy spending time with your loved one!
